If you can actually say that about the toxic waste they put in her system. Two of the four are giving her fits. One makes her cold sensitive. Anything she touches that is cold sends a shock type feeling through her system. She wears cotton jersey gloves when she has to deal with cold. The effect usually wears off in a couple of days.
The other one is causing me more concern. Side effect is neuropathy, it's causing her hands to cramp. The swelling in her liver seems to be receding so that is a hopeful sign.
God bless the nurses. They are awesome.

Glad it went "well". So sorry to hear about the side effects. Just sucks!
ReplyDeleteI thank you so much for reading and commenting. She really is feeling good this morning and her color is awesome.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter specializes in pediatric oncology. I asked her WHY she'd go into a field full of such sorrow where children are involved.
ReplyDeleteSHE, unlike anyone else I know, sits with the child on her lap, cuddling, as it receives its chemo. They actually feel so much safer and handle the effects better, compared to the other children without the comfort.
I am so glad she is handling it well. You guys are in our thoughts and prayers
ReplyDeleteSorry Man I'm 2-1/2 years post chimo+high dose radiation. neuropthy is the same for me now as it was then. All I can do is pray for her . GOD bless
ReplyDeleteGlad she made it through the chemo, even though the side effects stink. :( Please know the 2A Family is rooting for you all!
ReplyDeleteOh, my. Those drugs sure can do a number on a person.
