If anyone ever tells you they cooked it on their fry pan...

And it doesn't look like this...
You have my permission to call them a liar, right in their face! No, really, go ahead! This is the lid from one of my dutch ovens. Anything else sucks goose farts.

  1. Well seasoned pan there.
    Never use soap when washing a cast iron pan, so I was told by my grandmother. Scrub it out, put it back on the stove, heat it up till the water burns off. Otherwise you lose the "seasoning", and it rusts.

  2. Yessir! That's the way we do it here. If I lost this pan I'd be lost. It was my grandmothers and I got it through my mom.
